This past weekend, while Hunter was home, we made it a point to spend time together—to move together—with full awareness that our dear friends no longer have that luxury. Movement and time together is a gift. Losing Don Wolf, a close friend, has been a stark reminder of how precious life is. We often take for granted the simplest things—hugging a loved one, going for a walk, sharing a laugh—until they’re no longer possible. with f
Why Mobility Matters (And How to Improve Yours!) is
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of being a sponsor at our neighborhood 5K race. On the fly, I put together a quick warm-up for all the runners! 🏃♂️💨 It was a reminder of how important it is to get the body moving before asking it to perform. Check out this quick video of the livestream mobility class I did after the race, and then let’s dive into why mobility is so crucial.
Mobility vs. Flexibility—What’s the Difference?
Most people think of flexibility as the ability to bend and stretch—like touching your toes or pulling your leg up to your ear. But mobility? That’s a whole different story.
To me, mobility is about how well your muscles and myofascia move beneath the skin through their full range of motion. Imagine your fascia (the connective tissue around muscles) as a spiderweb. If a fly gets caught in it, the whole web tightens. Similarly, restrictions in your fascia can limit your movement.
By focusing on mobility, we work on pulling those “knots” out—freeing the body to move with ease and strength. Curious how this works? Try my on-demand videos, where I have specific mobility-focused sessions to help you move better. There’s a free trial, so you can test it out risk-free! Click here to check it out..
Livestream Classes
No Equipment? No Problem!
One of the things I love about Pilates is how it challenges your mobility—moving you into those “hairy edges” where progress happens. But what if you don’t have Pilates equipment at home? That’s where my live stream classes come in!

The picture above is from a few years back—my husband and I, hanging out with friends in St. Louis. What you don’t know is that the gentleman in the photo, Don Wolf, recently passed away. Our hearts break for this great family.
My husband and I have known Lynn and Don since our days in St. Louis. Our kids grew up together, and we spent countless moments just meeting out on the sidewalk, catching up on life. Never once did we think this day would come. I know they didn’t.
But I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing this because you never truly know what someone is going through. We can make quick judgments based on what we see, but the struggles within? Those are often unseen.
Kindness matters. Holding space for others matters. Life is precious—never take for granted that someone will be here tomorrow.
In Don’s honor, my next live stream class on March 29th at 12:00 PM will be a 45-minute session with all proceeds going to the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis to raise awareness for glioblastoma, the type of cancer that took Don from us. I hope you’ll join me in moving for a cause.
