What is health, in my world it’s doing the life activities that you want to do, to have the energy to get through your day, to feel confident in your body.  The disease states of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer start as early as your thirties due to poor food choices as well as decreased activity.  With simple, and I didn’t say easy, changes to diet (and diet doesn’t mean starvation) you can fuel your body to enjoy your life as you age  and have the cognitive function to go along with it!

 I want you to imagine taking a long journey in your car.  You forget to add fuel to the tank and when your car runs out of fuel you don’t get to where you want to go.  Or conversely, we can over fuel our bodies and we feel weighed down with no energy or motivation to move.  Your body is is unique, and just like different cars require different fuel, you have your own energy demands.  I want you to use your food as fuel to your activities to be strong and capable in your movements throughout the day, to feel energized, not depleted, or lethargic.
